    THE LOCATION

    The available position is in our Sault Ste Marie location.

    THE PRODUCT/SERVICE

    You will be selling over 100,000 industrial products, and if a business needs it, chances are you have it or know how to locate it.

    THE POSITION

    As a Sales Representative, you will be fielding calls and emails from current and prospective customers who have been secured through your efforts in the field. You will offer a high level of customer service to these accounts both personally and by utilizing your inside sales team.

    PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS

    You will be servicing a variety of businesses of every size across Canada. You will focus on connecting and upselling existing clients. With over 100,000 products you will need to maintain a high level of product knowledge and superb research skills to successfully handle customer requests.

    TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES
    • You are provided a list of preferred suppliers so that you can recommend specific product lines while you develop customer relationships.
    • Your focus will be to convert the spend from customers to these preferred supplier accounts.
    • You will communicate items to the Customer Care Representatives, and they will conduct research to provide the best possible solutions.
    • You will interact daily with clients and to determine their needs. (With over 100,000 products offered you need to be highly proficient in using the computer to navigate a search or research quickly.
    • You will ensure timely follow up with your clients.
    • The hours of your day will see you calling on accounts, both new and existing, keeping in touch with the inside sales team as well as the District Sales Manager, and connecting with supplier partners.

    Weber Supply is currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk for our West Coast Distribution Centre in Richmond.

    The Warehouse Clerk position responsibilities are:

    • Receives product efficiently and accurately via a wireless handheld device
    • Organizes products using predetermined zones
    • Places products into zones using a dolly or pallet jack
    • Conducts daily cycle count of inventory as per reports
    • Picks stock from zone locations to complete orders for customers
    • Confirms number of items picked into inventory system using a handheld device
    • Ensures product is packed in containers efficiently and safely
    • Builds skids to be sent to customers
    • Communicates daily progress to Warehouse Managers/District Sales Managers
    • Observes safety regulations i.e. working in a safe manner and wearing the required safety attire at all times
    • Maintains good housekeeping including reports of any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions

    • Answer customer, vendor, and outside sales representative’s calls
    • Research detailed products
    • Recommend products for specific applications
    • Handle customer complaints and concerns
    • Enter/review orders submitted by email, fax, mail, phone, E.D.I. and online
    • Provide quotations to customers and sales representatives upon request
    • Expedite outstanding backorders and orders as required
    • Source non-stock items for specific customer requests
    • Maintain knowledge level on product lines by attending a variety of training sessions
    • Provide SDS sheets where and when necessary
    • Work with the team in shipping to expedite rush orders and provide delivery information to customers
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma/GED
    • Working knowledge of industrial MRO and OHE safety is preferred
    • Willingness to learn new skills
    • Excellent communication skills
