Socket Set Screws are fully threaded headless screws with a hex drive used to fasten in confined areas and where the head must be recessed below the surface. The screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object. Recommended for interior projects. Made of heat-treated alloy steel and phosphate coated for corrosion resistance and lubrication.
- Socket set screws are typically headless, meaning they do not have a traditional screw head. This allows them to sit flush or below the surface of the material, providing a clean and unobtrusive finish
- Generally used to secure an object within or against another object
- Cup Point: The most common type, featuring a concave tip that provides excellent holding power and resistance to loosening
