Hex Head Cap Screws are used to secure an object within or against another object. They are recognized with specific features like tighter tolerances and a chamfered end with a washer face under the head. The bare metal finish (non-plated) is ideal for indoor use or where corrosion is not a concern. Grade 5 cap screws are made from medium carbon steel, quenched, and tempered for increased tensile strength; head markings identified with three radial bars.
