October 1, 2008 - The Weber Group of Companies announces the opening of a new facility for its Thunder Bay distribution centre.
The Weber Group of Companies is pleased to announce the purchase of a new facility in Thunder Bay. This purchase is part of a strategic plan that the Weber Group is embarking on to further entrench themselves in the markets they serve. Ownership of the facility permits much greater control and flexibility of its operations. "Our new facility is more conducive to industrial distribution applications, is larger and therefore more efficient, and is centrally located", David Weber, President & CEO.
The new Thunder Bay centre is located at 975 Walsh Street in the industrial park which is adjacent to the Thunder Bay International Airport. The exterior of the new facility will be modified to look similar to the Sault Ste. Marie facility presently under construction. This new branding will include a new colour scheme facade and new signage. The renovations will commence immediately and it is anticipated that the physical move from the existing rented location will take place before year end.
Thunder Bay has long been a community ripe with cultural diversity and economic opportunity.
