May 1, 2006 - Weber Supply Company Inc. announces the expansion into the Greater Edmonton and surrounding marketplace.
In anticipation of the opening of a new distribution centre in Edmonton, Wayne Watson has been hired and appointed to the position of Safety Product/MRO Sales Representative. As a resident of Edmonton and a well-respected member of his community, Wayne brings thirteen years of experience in the industrial and safety supply field. Wayne has worked as a sales representative in both the distribution and manufacturing sectors, and ran his own business as an MRO supplier to the oil and gas industry. Wayne will report directly to Senior Vice-President, Dan Amatruda. Additional support staff will be hired to facilitate the scheduled opening of the Edmonton Distribution Centre.
With the industrial boom Greater Edmonton and the surrounding area are experiencing, Weber wanted to capitalize on this market opportunity. As a result of the worldwide demand for oil, Edmonton and surrounding area are enjoying unprecedented growth. This growth is owed largely to a plethora of billion-dollar petrochemical projects and their economic developments. This leaves nothing short of a ready market for services such as industrial distribution. This expansion will further serve Weber's commitment to their valued suppliers as they strengthen their market base in Western Canada.
